Field Experience Fridays – Budding Ornithologists!

  • Friday, July 05, 2024
  • 8:30am - 2:00pm

Join us as we dive into the wonderful world of birds! From learning the tools used by ornithologists to exploring bird identification and behavior to crafting our own bird habitats, we’ll explore North Carolina’s birds through hands-on, experiential learning fun!

This is a one-day drop off program at Prairie Ridge Ecostation intended for children entering grades 3 through 5 in Fall 2024, running from 8:30am to 2:00pm on Friday, July 5th. Participants should expect to be entirely outdoors, bring a packed snack and lunch, and be ready to have fun outside!

This program requires registration and costs $35 for Friends of the Museum Members and $40 for non-members. Partial scholarships available.

Register here!

Not able to join us on July 5th? We’re also offering an Entomology day for Grades 3-5 on August 9th! Learn more here.
