We have been working hard to move scientific research forward, keep the animals fed, keep the Museum safe, and provide engaging educational programs. Over the past several months, we have re-envisioned the traditional museum experience to make science programming accessible in new and innovative ways. We have reconceptualized and transformed programs to bring you favorites like Trivia Nights, Natural Sciences Classroom, and BugFest in a safe, virtual format. While our interactions may be different right now, our goal remains the same – to create community for you.
We are committed to being your connection to science, but we need your help to continue our mission. The necessary six-month closure of the Museum due to the pandemic left the Friends of the Museum with a critical financial shortfall. The Friends organization typically provides 30% of our operating budget, allowing NCMNS to be the place you know and love. From now through the end of 2020, we are asking you to support our community of science.
Donate to the Annual Campaign or become a Member today and help us celebrate new discoveries, explore the latest research, and keep science alive!
The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences has had a remarkable journey which would have been impossible without generous support from our donors. Because of so many critical donations, today’s Museum is on the cutting edge of popular and meaningful ways to collect, research, exhibit and interpret evidence of the Earth’s geological and biological phenomena. On behalf of the Friends of the Museum Board of Directors, we thank you for your support.
