Join Patrick Treuthardt from the Museum’s Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Lab as we travel to South Carolina to observe the total eclipse of the sun. We will stay overnight in an area hotel and then head to our viewing spot in the field for the mid-afternoon event. Though totality only lasts 2 ½ minutes, it is a once-in-a lifetime experience for most people. Patrick will provide a wealth of information on the event and astronomy/astrophysics in general.
