Drop-off Zone for buses, cars, or taxis is located at 11 West Jones Street opposite the North Carolina State Legislative Building.

Museum Visitor Parking Lot (Visitor Lot 1) is available on a first-come, first-served basis at 100 East Jones Street. The lot is flat and above-ground with reserved accessible parking spaces and multiple entrances/exits with curb cuts. Parking is paid (credit/debit only; cash not accepted) but free on weekends and state holidays.

Green Square Parking Deck (Visitor Lot 3) is available on a first-come, first-served basis at 120 West Edenton Street. The deck has reserved accessible parking spaces with ramps and elevators operating between each level. Parking is paid (credit/debit only; cash not accepted) but free on weekends and state holidays.
