Teen Science Café: The Search for Life

  • Friday, November 01, 2024
  • 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Join us on Friday, November 1, from 6–7pm in the Daily Planet Café for “The Search for Life: Exploring Alien Planets & Oceans Beyond Earth” with Alan Rich, JPL Solar System Ambassador.

The Europa Clipper is on its way to study the icy moon of Jupiter, which is believed to harbor a vast, subsurface ocean beneath its frozen crust. Scientists speculate that this ocean could possess the necessary conditions for life. Explore Europa’s potential to support life and the technology behind this groundbreaking spacecraft. Exoplanet research has revealed that many planets outside our solar system may also have oceans beneath their surfaces, raising the exciting possibility of life beyond Earth.

Recommended for ages 11–17. YouTube livestream also available. Registration is required for online participation. Register now!
