  • Thursday, December 15, 2022
  • 7:00pm - 8:00pm

The North Carolina Climate Change Challenge is continuing into our second challenge, Local Birds! Learn how to document birds for eBird as well as skills for identifying the birds you see in this interactive virtual training. You’ll also learn about the equipment you’ll earn for participating and how to complete the Local Birds Challenge.

This virtual program requires pre-registration.  Please register online here to receive the Zoom link to attend.

This program is intended for adults, but you are welcome to have your kids participate in the project with you once you have been trained!

This program is a Local Birds Challenge program, part of the NC Climate Change Challenge. The NC CCC is a year-long project aiming to help people across North Carolina get involved in climate change research.  Each of the four seasons will have a focal citizen science project, lectures, and a forum to learn more about the local impacts of climate change on our state.  Complete the quarterly challenge to earn equipment and badges!  Learn more
