Learn techniques used by museum curators to collect, prepare, and care for bird specimens in a research collection. Gain hands-on experience by preparing a bird spread wing. Explore the museum’s research collection of birds and discover options for developing a natural history collection for educational purposes.

Eligibility: This workshop is educators (includes teachers, administrators, pre-service or substitute teachers; non-formal educators; anyone working on their EE certification).

Credit: 8 contact hours toward CEUs or Criteria III for North Carolina’s Environmental Education Certification Program
