Overview

Our rising K-12 grade day camp program offers a limited number of partial scholarships. We ask families to contribute what they can towards the cost of the camp with our camp program covering the remaining balance.

All eligible applicants will be entered into a lottery drawing. All scholarship applicants will be notified by email.

In order to accept an awarded scholarship, recipients must contact summercamps@naturalsciences.org to set up a phone appointment to register for the camp and make their payment with a MasterCard or VISA.

How to apply for the David Jones Foundation Partial Scholarship

You will need to:

  1. Choose a camp from our Summer Camps List. Available camp topics and weeks are shown on the application under “Select a camp.”
    • Applicants must be rising K-3 or 7-12 grade for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.
  2. Ask your child’s teacher or non-family member complete the Letter of Recommendation.
  3. Complete Application for the David Jones Foundation Partial Summer Camps Scholarship.
    • Determine how much you will contribute towards camp tuition. If a scholarship is offered, the payment will be due two weeks after the offer email is sent.
    • Have the guardian write a short statement explaining extenuating circumstances.
    • With guardian’s assistance, have the child write a short statement why they would like to attend the summer camp.

Scholarship application and Letter of Recommendation will be considered when submitted. All scholarship applicants will be notified by email.

How to apply for a Partial Scholarship for rising K – 12th grade

We are no longer accepting applications for our partial scholarship program.

You will need to:

  1. Choose a camp from our Summer Camps List. Grade levels stated in camp descriptions are for the upcoming school year (2025–2026).
  2. Ask your child’s teacher or non-family member complete the Letter of Recommendation.
  3. Complete Application for Partial Summer Camps Scholarship.
    • Determine how much you will contribute towards camp tuition. Payment will be due upon acceptance of scholarship or on January 31.
    • Have the guardian write a short statement explaining extenuating circumstances.
    • With guardian’s assistance, have the child write a short statement why they would like to attend the summer camp.

Scholarship applications and letters must be received by 5:00pm, Wednesday, January 8, 2025. All scholarship applicants will be notified by email on or before Friday, January 31.
