Professional Interests and Background

Greg began working at the museum in October 2015. As the Curator of the Naturalist Center, Greg is responsible for maintaining a diverse collection of over 7,500 specimens of birds, mammals, reptiles, fishes, insects, plants, fossils, rocks, and more. Greg also develops educational programming using museum specimens and provides assistance to guests as they explore the Naturalist Center.

Greg is an ecologist and herpetologist by training. A few of his previous experiences include: Environmental Educator in the Peace Corps (Paraguay, South America); AmeriCorps Research Member at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center (Jekyll Island, Georgia); and Environmental Restoration Intern with the Audubon Society (Dane County, Wisconsin).
