Dr. Adrian Smith – Head of the Museum’s Insect Research Lab and creator of the Ant Lab channel – recently filmed the attacks of dryinid parasitoid wasps (Gonatopus sp.) on their prey/hosts … hopper nymphs. The footage is the first of its kind and is part of a new study describing the anatomy, kinematics and behavior of these killer parasitoid wasps.
