Hear about the science and technology that NASA and NOAA use to track whales from space with NASA JPL Solar System Ambassador Tony Verdone. Collisions with ships is one of the leading causes of death among large whales. Tracking whale populations from space provides scientists and agencies with data to inform management decisions and conservation actions, including methods to keep whales from being hit and killed by big ships. Join us in the SECU Daily Planet Theater for this special presentation at 11:00am and 12:30pm.
