Tree Seed Dispersal (ecoEXPLORE)

  • Thursday, March 23, 2023
  • 5:00pm - 6:00pm

From nuts to samaras, trees have many different ways to spread seeds. Trees have adapted to use wind, water, fire and even animals to disperse their seeds. Some seeds germinate right away, while others can take years! This program will explore the diversity of seed dispersal methods and how to identify a few trees based on seeds.

This program requires pre-registration. Please register here to receive the Zoom link.

This program is geared toward children in grades K-8 and their families, but all are welcome! You will learn about the ecoEXPLORE project during the program.
