Minimally invasive surgery was revolutionized over 25 years ago with the introduction of Intuitive Surgical’s da Vinci robot. Four generations of technology later, thousands of them have been used to perform more than 10 million procedures worldwide. The da Vinci system is among the most popular tele-surgery methods, where doctors use a control console to manipulate surgical instruments via robots. Hear Dr. Nick Bernstein discuss how it’s improved the way surgeons operate on their patients.
