Teen Science Café: Engineering with FIRST Robotics

Founded in 1989, FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a global nonprofit organization offering team-based robotics programs to inspire the next generation of STEM learners. Locally based robotics team, Razzle Dazzle, will be on hand to showcase its work and discuss what FIRST has to offer. They’ll talk Java block-structured programming, an accessible entry point to robotics, alongside their experience at events like the FIRST Robotics Competition.
About the presenters:
Razzle Dazzle, out of Apex, North Carolina was founded in 2017. They spread the thrill of robotics and STEM education with the help of FIRST, thanks to their can-do approach and willingness to take on new challenges.

This program is recommended for participants ages 11–17. Cafés will be held in person at the Daily Planet Cafe AND streamed live on YouTube.
