The City Nature Challenge is an international event focused on documenting biodiversity. Join us to discover the many types of insects at Prairie Ridge! We’ll explore our trails to find and photograph as many species as possible. We’ll also teach you how to use iNaturalist so your photos will become a part of the City Nature Challenge event.
Please come dressed for the weather as we will be outside, mostly in the sun the entire length of the program. Bring a filled water bottle and a camera (phone, point and shoot, or adjustable cameras are all welcome!). If possible, download the iNaturalist app and create an account prior to the start of the program.
This program is best for ages 10+. Meet your leader in the Outdoor Classroom at the start of the program, a 3-5 minute walk down the gravel path from the parking lot.
