Science Detectives: Microscopic Pond Life

Join us for classes designed especially for homeschool and track-out students. These 60-minute classes allow us to delve deeper into topics and incorporate additional learning experiences.

Do you want to know what types of microscopic life live in a drop of pond water? Come to this exciting class where you will be able to learn how to use a compound microscope, view living organisms and learn about the Protista kingdom.

Participants must be 11 years of age or older for this program.

  • Fee: $10 per participant; $7.50 member participant.
  • Requirements: Participants must be 11 years of age or older. Parents need to remain in the Museum during the program.
  • Cancellation Notice: Refunds only issued if the Museum cancels the program, or if cancellation is made in writing via email to melissa.chernick@naturalsciences.org at least 48 hours prior to the program date.
