Science Detectives: Adaptations in Birds and Mammals

  • Wednesday, October 16, 2024
  • 10:15am - 11:15am

Join us for classes designed especially for homeschool and track-out students. These 60-minute classes allow us to delve deeper into topics and incorporate additional learning experiences.

Using specimens from bird and mammal collections, students analyze the similarities and differences in anatomy, form, and function between these animal groups. Students then develop hypotheses to account for observed patterns and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of specific adaptations.

Participants must be 11 years of age or older for this program.
