Ashley Lomboy (Waccamaw Siouan) is the Global Information Security Manager at Corning Optical Fiber and Cable. Ashley earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from St. Martins University in Olympia, WA, a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Washington, and many other technical certifications. She is the leader of the Corning Native American Council and a US Army Veteran serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. She was the first Native American woman on the Lower Cape Fear YWCA Board of Directors executive team. Ashley is also the founder of the Waccamaw Siouan STEM Studio, which aims to make STEM more accessible to Waccamaw Siouan Youth.
Ashley has experienced many careers and loves to share those experiences with other people in her community. Join her to learn more about computer science, founding the Waccamaw Siouan STEM Studio and the many other paths she has taken!
