Visit Prairie Ridge for our next StoryWalk® featuring Are You a Ladybug?, by Judy Allen and Tudor Humphries. Our story begins just inside our entry gates and will take you on a short summer-friendly trail as you learn about ladybugs. Can you find any in the prairie as you explore?
Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes that can get muddy, appropriate dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle. Trails are mulch, dirt or grass and small hills are included — trail strollers or baby carriers are recommended for our smallest visitors. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day (but please pack out your trash!).
This StoryWalk® will be available from July 10–31 each day we are open, weather pending. Prairie Ridge is open 9am-4pm Tuesday-Saturday; closed on Sundays and Mondays.
We strongly encourage those who have not yet been vaccinated for COVID-19 to continue wearing masks and practicing social distancing while visiting our facilities.
Face coverings are recommended while near others or in the restroom building for:
- Children between the ages of 5 and 12
- Individuals who are not fully vaccinated
If you are experiencing symptoms of illness, we ask that you postpone your visit.
