Visit Prairie Ridge for our next StoryWalk® featuring Plants Can’t Sit Still, by Rebecca E. Hirsch and Mia Posada. Our story begins just inside our entry gates and will take you on a short trail as you learn about plants. What amazing plants will you find as you explore?
Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes that can get muddy, dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Trails are mulch, dirt or grass and small hills are included — trail strollers or baby carriers are recommended for our smallest visitors. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day (but please pack out your trash!).
This StoryWalk® will be available October 16—30. Prairie Ridge is open 9am–4pm Tuesday-Saturday; closed on Sundays and Mondays.
This activity is FREE and no registration is required.
We strongly encourage those who have not yet been vaccinated for COVID-19 to continue wearing masks and practicing social distancing while visiting our facilities. Face coverings are recommended while near others or in the restroom building for children between the ages of 5 and 12 and individuals who are not fully vaccinated. If you are experiencing symptoms of illness, we ask that you postpone your visit.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
