It’s winter – the perfect time to create fun winter nature art! Join us to make a winter-themed zine, a simple folded 8-page book. We’ll create our zines, then take a short hike to gather inspiration. You can fill your book with drawings, a poem, memories of winter, or anything else you’d like. We’ll provide basic paper, scissors, colored pencils and crayons, and pencils, but feel free to bring your own art materials if you have higher quality supplies.
This program for ages 8+ will take place in our Outdoor Classroom, a short 3-5 minute walk down the gravel drive from the parking lot. The space is shaded, open to the outdoors, and unheated, so please dress for the weather, whatever it may be. We’ll have hot water available if you’d like to bring a mug and some tea or hot chocolate to help keep you warm during the program. All children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
