  • Wednesday, January 19, 2022
  • 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson, Senior Director of Food Recovery and Distribution, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle

Last year, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle distributed more than 8.9 million pounds of food to our neighbors in need — of which 6.3 million pounds was prevented from reaching landfills. Take a journey through the Food Bank supply chain, beginning with a look at Food Recovery 101. You’ll get up close and personal with the reality of expiration dates—they’re not really the end-all and be-all! And then learn the hows and whys behind food that’s edible even though it might not be saleable.
