Climate change is making the traditional aims of conservation impossible to achieve. There are also way too few people doing hands-on conservation to prevent large-scale extinctions, especially in less-developed countries. South African author and conservationist Adam Welz will talk about the impacts of climate change on wild species, how conservation is being plunged into crisis, and why we must urgently redefine and open-source conservation so millions of amateurs can actively fight extinction where they live.
Adam Welz is an independent author and conservationist based on the stunningly biodiverse Cape Peninsula of South Africa.
