Lifelong Hike: Howell Woods Birding

  • Wednesday, April 15, 2026
  • 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • In the Field

Birds will be our focus on this special birding experience at Howell Woods. Located in southeastern Johnston County, Howell Woods is a 2800-acre natural area owned and managed by Johnston Community College for educational and recreational purposes. After an indoor introductory session, Howell Woods staff and guest biologists will lead our exploration of some of the diverse habitats in search of birds.
