Lifelong Hike: Harris Lake

Join us in Harris Lake County Park in western Wake County for a winter hike along the lake and through the Longleaf Pine restoration area. We will hike about 4 miles, then have a late picnic lunch in the park before heading back to Raleigh.

Meet at Prairie Ridge Ecostation, then we’ll travel to site by Museum vehicle.

Please note: You will be required to enter the following information for each registrant before you can complete your registration: emergency contact, physician contact and health information (allergies, conditions, medications relevant to this field experience). Take a moment to gather this information before beginning your registration.

  • Fee: $15 per participant; $10 per member participant.
  • Requirements: Minimum age 18.
  • Cancellation Notice: Refunds only issued if the Museum cancels the trip, or if cancellation is made in one of the following ways at least two weeks prior to the trip date: Either in writing via email to Missy Chernick or through the Museum Box Office (919.707.9950). We cannot issue credits, rain checks, or transfers for these trips.
