Lifelong Adventure: Stone Mountain

Our mountain adventure will include two three-mile hikes on successive days to explore the massive granite domes of Stone Mountain and enjoy the grand views from some lofty heights. Accommodations and meals are provided by the Laurel Ridge Retreat Center just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Everything will be taken for granite on this adventure!

Please note: You will be required to enter the following information for each registrant before you can complete your registration: emergency contact, physician contact and health information (allergies, conditions, medications relevant to this field experience). Take a moment to gather this information before beginning your registration.

  • Fee: $185 per Double Occupancy participant; $157.25 per Member Double Occupancy participant. $250 per Single Occupancy participant; $212.50 per Member Single Occupancy participant. (Fee covers travel from Raleigh, lodging and most meals. Participant pays for lunch Tuesday/Thursday.)
  • Requirements: Minimum age 18.
  • Cancellation Notice: Refunds only issued if the Museum cancels the trip, or if cancellation is made in one of the following ways at least two weeks prior to the trip date: Either in writing via email to Missy Chernick or through the Museum box office (919.707.9950). We cannot issue credits, rain checks, or transfers for these trips.
