Elementary students(ages 5 -12) are invited to learn about the importance of air quality and air pollution reduction activities through hands-on learning experiences! In addition to learning about North Carolina’s Air Quality Monitoring system, participants will go on a lichen safari, collect data for participatory science programs, and spend time reflecting in their nature journal!
Meet in the outdoor classroom upon arrival, a short 3–5 minute walk down the gravel road.
Program participants must be accompanied by an adult.
