Join the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Wake Audubon Society, and acclaimed storyteller Dr. Milbre Burch for an afternoon of stories in the SECU Daily Planet Theater. Shows begin at 1:00 PM, 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM.
Each 20-minute show will consist of folktales selected from many cultures – the Americas (including indigenous groups and Cajun and Latinx cultures), Asia, the African Diaspora, and Eastern Europe. Dr. Burch will choose the specific stories based on the ages represented by the audiences at each show that day. This is a program for adults and school-age children.
Dr. Milbre Burch is a GRAMMY-nominated spoken-word recording artist, an internationally known storyteller, and a sought-after teaching artist and coach.
