Family Painting Class: Blue Whale

Unleash your creativity while having a “whale” of a time at the Museum! Join us as expert artist and retired Museum educator, Deb Bailey, walks us through the wonders of art and blue whales. This class is perfect for all skill levels ages 5 & up. Deb will guide you through the process step-by-step while giving you the freedom to make it your own!

Each painter will create and take home an 11″x14″ painting.  Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that may get messy.

Ticket Information:

Price: $40; $35 Members

Recommended age: 5 & up

Each ticket includes one canvas. All materials will be provided.

Minors are required to be accompanied by an adult. Adults who are accompanying a minor and not painting are not required to purchase a ticket.

Refund Policy:

  • Refunds will not be issued for cancellations less than 48 hours prior to class date.
Tickets are not transferable to another class date.

About Our Artist:

Deb Bailey has been a freelance writer and nature artist for a number of years. In addition, she retired from teaching science here at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in 2024. While her background also includes medical and research labs as well as pharmaceutical research, these days, her absolute passion is nature, painting, and exciting kids about the world around them.
