Join us for a nature hike as we explore fall trees! Which trees still have leaves, nuts or berries? What colors are their leaves? What are the different possible leaf shapes? And, how can we tell these trees apart?! To engage young minds, we’ll focus on leaf shape and color, and use tactile senses to explore a variety of common trees that are especially notable and identifiable in the fall.
This is a free program that begins at 10:30am. Please meet at the picnic tables just below the Nature PlaySpace. Come dressed for the weather and prepared to take a walk! This program is designed for early childhood audiences (ages 7 and under). We’ll be taking a walk through the Arboretum which has grass- and gravel-covered paths that are often uneven and bumpy at times.
