Help us celebrate Earth Day by encouraging sustainability and reducing barriers of access by contributing items to our first Kids’ Outdoor Clothing/Gear Swap!
Starting April 1, collection bins will be located by the Prairie Ridge entrance kiosk and Nature PlaySpace shed (between the Nature PlaySpace and picnic table area). If you have new or lightly used kids’ outdoor clothing or gear that you’d like to see being used, consider contributing those items to the swap! Then, join us between 10:00am and 1:00pm on April 22 to pick up some new items for your family to use in the coming months.
Potential items may include:
- Shoes (sandals, sneakers, rain boots, snow boots, etc.)
- Pants, shirts, underlayers, etc.
- Sweatshirts, jackets, coats
- Rain gear (rain suits, jackets, overalls, etc.)
- Snow gear (snow pants, bibs, etc.)
- Hats, gloves, mittens
- Baby carriers
- Other essentials to spending time outdoors!
Not sure whether your item is appropriate? Reach out to Emma (emma.blackford@naturalsciences.org) with any questions.
This event is in partnership with the Longleaf Learning Collective.
