Carolina’s Wild Butterflies: Identification and Monitoring

Love seeing butterflies flitting around the flowers? Ever wonder their names or how many there are? This program will introduce you to North Carolina’s wild butterflies, how to identify them, and how to become a citizen scientist butterfly monitor for the Carolinas Butterfly Monitoring Program.

This program is intended for adults and will be conducted entirely outdoors. Please come prepared for a walk of up to a mile over uneven terrain by wearing sturdy close-toed shoes and dressing for the weather. Long pants, a wide brimmed hat, and sunscreen are recommended.
