Want to learn more about butterflies — how to identify them, their life cycles and the host plants that support them? Did you know you can contribute to Citizen Science simply by watching butterflies? Join us to have your questions answered!
We will start in the Outdoor Classroom with some butterfly biology and natural history, and then we’ll go out and look for butterflies and caterpillars in the garden and on the prairie. There, we’ll identify and count what we found as we collect data for the citizen science project eButterfly.
This program is for adults. Please dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes. Hat and sunscreen recommended. We will meet in the Outdoor Classroom building, a short walk down the gravel path from the Prairie Ridge parking lot.
Please note that registration closes August 25.
