Birdwatching for Beginners

  • Prairie Ridge
Want to try birdwatching but aren’t sure how to get started? Join us for a laid-back program for ages 8+ to learn the basics of identifying common birds! We will slowly walk about a mile to look for birds in different areas and explore the collaborative science projects to which we can share our birdwatching data.
This program will take place entirely outdoors so please dress for the weather, wear closed-toed shoes, and bring water. We will meet at the entrance gate. It will be helpful to download the free birds apps eBird and Merlin Bird ID.
