This annual celebration of American Indian history and culture brings guests into the vibrant Indigenous heritage of our state. Dive into the American Indian experience to explore the knowledge, traditions, and profound impact Native people had on both history and modern culture.
The event will kick off with the powerful sounds of drums, vocal performances, and flute songs during the Grand Entry. The eight state-recognized tribes will progress through Bicentennial Plaza, proudly showcasing their unique regalia, dances, and cultural traditions. Dance and vocal performances will continue throughout the day on the plaza.
After the Grand Entry, visitors can explore booths across NCMNS, where artisans, storytellers, and cultural experts will offer demonstrations and discussions that celebrate and share the rich traditions of American Indian culture in North Carolina.
