Lifelong Adventure: Dan River Paddle

Join us on a cool paddle on a hot July day on the Dan River near Hanging Rock State Park. This is an easy 6-mile paddle with a few small rapids to make it fun. This is a great paddle for all experience levels including beginners. Kayaks, paddling gear and travel included.

Please note: You will be required to enter the following information for each registrant before you can complete your registration: emergency contact, physician contact and health information (allergies, conditions, medications relevant to this field experience). Take a moment to gather this information before beginning your registration.

Details

  • Fee: $75 per participant; $63.75 per member participant. (Fee covers travel and kayak rental.)
  • Requirements: Minimum age 12 (minors must be accompanied by a registered adult).
  • Cancellation Notice: Refunds only issued if the Museum cancels the trip, or if cancellation is made in one of the following ways at least two weeks prior to the trip date: Either in writing via email to Missy Chernick or through the Museum box office (919.707.9950). We cannot issue credits, rain checks, or transfers for these trips.
