Want to know more about butterflies? Teens and adults are invited to participate in a butterfly workshop! We’ll talk about common butterflies we see here at Prairie Ridge, host plants for the caterpillars, and how to attract butterflies to your yard. Then we’ll look in the native gardens the prairie to see how many butterflies and caterpillars we can find. Once we identify the species, we’ll show you how to report data so it can be used for citizen science projects. You will take home a laminated butterfly identification guide along with seeds and/or pollinator plants for your own yard.
