Birdwatching for Beginners

  • Wednesday, April 29, 2026
  • 10:00am - 11:30am
  • Prairie Ridge

Want to try birdwatching but aren’t sure how to get started? Join us for a laid-back program where you’ll learn the basics of identifying common birds! We will slowly walk about a mile to look for birds in different areas. We will learn which collaborative science projects we can contribute our birdwatching data to.

This program is for both adults and kids age 8+. Please dress for the weather, wear closed-toed shoes and bring water. It will be helpful to download the free bird apps eBird and Merlin Bird ID. We will meet in front of the building next to the parking lot before walking as a group down the trails.

Registration is required to attend this program.
