Lifelong Hike: Holly Shelter

  • Wednesday, May 06, 2026
  • 7:00am - 5:00pm
  • In the Field

Holly Shelter Game Land in Pender County covers over 65,000 acres in Pender County.  Here we will explore the Longleaf Pine savannas and associated pocosins rich in carnivorous plants and colorful orchids. The carnivorous plant diversity here is worth the visit alone.  We will ride through the game land with several stops and short walks from the bus.
