Raven Rock State Park is a great spot to enjoy a piedmont hardwood forest and view the Cape Fear River from Raven Rock, a 150-foot-high geologic feature for which the park was named. The park has a diverse topography, including high bluffs and low flood plains along the Cape Fear River. We’ll hike the 3-mile Raven Rock Loop Trail keeping an eye out for spring wildflowers along the way.
