This week’s talk, From Mountains to Sea at the Cameron Art Museum, has been rescheduled for April. Mark your calendars for our February Series in recognition of Black History Month. We will kick off the series on Feb. 4 at noon with author and adventurer Derick Lugo, who will share stories from his latest book, A Fabulous Thru-Hike.

“Lunchtime Discovery Series” header with four visuals highlighting art and science themes, including textured abstract compositions inspired by landscapes and a poster for the exhibition “From Mountains to Sea.”

Watch the livestream on YouTube Live.

The ‘From Mountains to Sea’ exhibit explores the evolving relationship between humanity and the natural world. Each artwork is more than an image – it forms part of an ongoing dialogue with the land we call home, from the coastal plain to the mountain communities recently reshaped by Hurricane Helene. Discover how contemporary North Carolina artists convey the complex connections between people and their environment.
