Have you heard the buzz about the importance of native plants and pollinators? Join the State Library of NC Government and Heritage Library and the NC Museum of Natural Sciences for a walking tour of the native plant gardens on Jones Street, focusing on native pollinators and their role in our ecosystem.

Lauri Lawson, horticulturalist and native plant expert, will lead this walking tour. We will visit native plant gardens at multiple DNCR sites, including the DNCR building and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science.

This event will take place outdoors with participants traveling approximately ½ mile round trip via paved sidewalks. In the event of inclement weather, registrants are invited to join staff in the Government and Heritage Library Reading Room for a primer on pollinators. Registrants will be notified of any changes in advance.
