Thank you for completing this recommendation for your student, who is applying for the Teen Newsroom program at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Teen Newsroom Producers interact with Museum staff regularly to produce multimedia content for the Museum’s website and other media outlets.
We are looking for students who are comfortable working with adults; who love science, media, and communication; and who want to share their excitement with others.

This recommendation must be submitted by 5pm on Monday, April 30, in order for your student’s application to be considered. Please allow 20 minutes to complete all questions. We recommend saving your answers in a Word document so you will have back-up in the event of technological problems.
This recommendation is confidential and will not be shared with the student. Thank you for your time and for your honest assessment of your student’s strengths and weaknesses.
HOMESCHOOL PARENTS: Please do not fill out this form. Instead, ask another adult who works with your child to submit the recommendation form. This can be a coach, music or dance teacher, scout leader, youth group leader, or club adviser.
