SERVING & SCIENCE: A STEM FUTURE FOR NC
The ultimate goal of Serving and Science is to engage a diverse audience in programs that inspire a passion for the natural world and teach valuable science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills needed to succeed in today's world. The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences (NCMNS) already plays an important role in increasing the public's science literacy by offering a variety of programs, exhibits, and experiences across three locations in the state. However, this project will help us address community needs and better serve all North Carolinians. As an NCMNS AmeriCorps member, you will expand the reach of the Museum by developing new programs, improving access to Museum resources, and building community partnerships. Each AmeriCorps position has a unique program focus, but all of our members accomplish the goals of Serving & Science while making a difference in the lives of students, teachers and families.
