Students will investigate a variety of reptiles and amphibians through live animals, natural history props, and biofacts, and will discover what special adaptations these scaly, slippery, and often misunderstood creatures have for survival.\r\n<br> Program length is 45 minutes.\r\n<br><\/br>   \r\n<em>This program is held onsite at our Downtown Raleigh location. <\/em>\r\n<br><\/br>  \r\n<strong>Curriculum Correlation(s):\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong> ELA 3rd grade: ELA Module 2A (UnboundEd\/EL Education); NC Science Standards: LS.4.1; Next Generation Science Standards: 3-LS4-3, 4-LS1-1\r\n<br><\/br>   \r\n<strong>Scheduling Instructions: <\/strong>  Scheduling is now closed for the 2025\/2026 school year.  Scheduling for the upcoming school year will begin on <strong>Tuesday, July 28 for programs in October&ndash;January<\/strong>, and <strong>Tuesday, August 25 for programs in February&ndash;May<\/strong>.  A link to the scheduling request form will be added once scheduling begins.\r\n<br><\/br>\r\n<em><strong>Please note that only 2 adults (school staff only) can attend each program.  At least one teacher must attend.<\/strong>  Chaperones can explore the Museum during the program time.<\/em>\r\n<br><br\/>\r\n<strong>Scholarship Opportunities: <\/strong> Funding may be available to cover all or part of program fees for qualifying schools.
