Prairie Ridge Ecostation
Outdoor student programs at Prairie Ridge, the Museum’s field station, are offered to rising Kindergarten–12th grade students. These programs are available throughout the school year and summer. Scheduling for the 2018–2019 school year begins Wednesday, August 1, 2018 (for classes in September– January), and Wednesday, August 15, 2018 (for classes in February – May).

To schedule your fee-based curriculum-correlated program

  • Step 1: Check for available dates on the Prairie Ridge Field Trip Calendar.  Dates that are already taken are listed on the calendar.  Select three open dates that will potentially work for your group.  Note: we accept field trip requests on a first-come, first-served basis.  The calendar is updated as requests are processed and may not reflect every registration.  If the dates you choose have been reserved, you will be asked to choose other dates.
  • Step 2: Search for student programs at Prairie Ridge*. (Follow the link and select “Prairie Ridge” from the Program Types drop-down menu.) Choose a student program.
  • Step 3: Fill out the Prairie Ridge Scheduling Request Form.
Once your field trip dates have been confirmed and your request processed, we will email you information about your field trip and an invoice.  Invoices must be paid two weeks before your program date.  We reserve the right to offer your dates to other groups if payment is not received.
