Purple martins return each spring to Prairie Ridge to nest and raise their young. While they are here, each week we check on the nests and record their progress through a citizen science project called NestWatch. Join us for a special program focused on these beautiful birds and learn how to safely check and record data on birds’ nests. We will have a guest ornithologist with us to help answer any questions.<\/p>\n
This program is for adults.<\/strong> No preregistration necessary. We will be out in the open sun so please dress for the weather \u2014 a hat and sunscreen are recommended. Also, please wear closed-toed shoes and bring a refillable water bottle.
