We&#8217;ll be focusing on the work of two African-American researchers \u2013 Dr. Patricia Bath, inventor of the laser surgical procedure for cataracts, and Dr. Mand\u00eb Holford, who researches snail venoms and pain medications to cross the blood-brain barrier. We&#8217;ll get the conversation going with science demos and quick bites of information, then pose trivia and critical thinking questions for you to answer. Or bring questions of your own.<\/p>\n<p>This program is designed to help young guests tap their dreams, flex their critical and creative thinking skills, and develop their own voice.<\/p>\n<p>Science Conversations are offered in an open-house format. Drop in to chat for as long or as short a time as you wish during the program period.
