Building Appreciation for NC’s Rare Species Through Project RESTORE<\/h2>\n

Educating teachers and students about the rare plants and animals that live in their \u201cbackyards\u201d can instill a feeling of appreciation for these species, leading to improved conservation behaviors. Project RESTORE (Rescuing Endangered Species through Outreach, Restoration, and Education) employs a multiple species approach focusing on endangered and imperiled species in North Carolina, including the American shad, Venus flytrap, Carolina madtom, Neuse River waterdog, and red wolf.<\/p>\n
