The City Nature Challenge is an international event focused on documenting biodiversity.\u00a0 Join us to discover aquatic life at Prairie Ridge!\u00a0 We\u2019ll explore our pond to find and photograph as many species as possible.\u00a0 We\u2019ll also teach you how to use iNaturalist so your photos will become a part of the City Nature Challenge event.<\/p>\n
Please come dressed for the weather as we will be outside, mostly in the sun the entire length of the program.\u00a0 Be prepared to get your feet wet\/muddy!\u00a0 Bring a filled water bottle and a camera (phone, point and shoot, or adjustable cameras are all welcome!).\u00a0 If possible, download the iNaturalist app and create an account prior to the start of the program.<\/p>\n
This program is best for ages 10+.\u00a0 Meet your leader in the Prairie Ridge pond at the start of the program, a 5 minute walk from the parking lot.\u00a0 Turn right when you pass through the gate and walk through the grassy lawn next to the building, keeping the prairie grasses on your left. \u00a0Turn left when the trail dead ends just past the trees and you\u2019ll see the pond to your right in a few hundred feet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
